Workshops
At Wellington Country Park, we offer both ‘Park Staff’ and ‘Teacher' led educational workshops, in order to enhance your visit to the Park.
We aim to provide workshops that are both informative and interactive, that take children outside the classroom and give them the opportunity to explore the Park and its rich biodiversity.
'Park Staff led' Workshops
We currently offer two ‘Park Staff’ led educational workshops:-
- Minibeast Hunting – An exciting walk through our woodlands to identify habitats and an array of minibeasts
- Pond dipping – A hands-on pond dipping session looking closely at pond life
Our workshops are planned to run or 45 minutes and cover subjects which are suitable for Nursery and Primary pupils and are relative in their content, to the National Curriculum.

If you would like to run your own session without all the time consuming preparation, we now offer our
DIY Kit - Minibeast Hunting Workshops
Our DIY kit allows you to present your own informative and interactive workshop, with all the materials and instructions provided in the pack, ready to use.
You have total control over the length and locaton of your workshop, offering you complete flexibility!
